Your PC has a whole range of important and private files that you have probably never seen. If you list the files through Explorer or by using the DIR command at the DOS prompt, the operating system software will not show you the hidden files. These are files that have had a special flag set so that they are not displayed and cannot be easily deleted. If you really want to see all the files on your hard disk, use the Attrib command.
